Trueheart now at Central Market in Petaluma

We are delighted to announce that Central Market Restaurant in Petaluma is now carrying Trueheart Petite Sirah ’09.  The restaurant just received a “recommended” rating from the Michelin Guide, and noted San Francisco Chronicle reviewer, Michael Bauer, said “The Mediterranean-inspired food, and the entire experience, is every bit as sophisticated as you’ll find at some of the top spots in San Francisco, and it’s a good excuse for those of us who don’t live there to experience the town’s bucolic atmosphere.”  When food writer Jeff Cox reviewed the restaurant for the Santa Rosa Press Democrat, he said, “But the food!  Najiola tends to make things himself, from scratch, using really top-quality ingredients.  He must have developed contacts with fine local purveyors at Ravenswood, and he’s brought them to his kitchen door in Petaluma.  There he transforms their wares into some of the most satisfying, lip-smacking food I’ve had in quite a while.”

Chef Tony Najiola approach to food was influenced by his New Orleans’ roots.  His stint as chef in residence at Ravenswood Winery exposed him to the seemingly endless bounty of local suppliers which he features with great pride and care in all his dishes.  His menu changes with the season, and he takes pride in his hand picked wine list.

Stop by, and say hello.  Ask Tony what entree might pair well with our Petite Sirah.  He’s an amiable, outgoing guy who LOVES to see people enjoying themselves over a plate of good food and a glass of wine.

V Wine Cellar Tasting

We did a wine tasting yesterday at the lovely V Wine Cellar in Yountville, and it was terrific.  We met lots of interesting and fun wine lovers, and got the opportunity to share with them our “not for the faint of heart” Trueheart Petite Sirah. We think we made several new fans along the way.
